On the Tuesday of week six, I paid a visit to the Tate Modern in London with some fellow second year students. I found inspiration in the strong command of colour amongst the classic works of Mark Rothko, Yves Klein, and Joseph Albers.
I was also influenced by the striking, visceral sculpture work of Bruce Nauman.
To start off week 6, I began working on this piece and plan on working on it over the rest of term. I wanted to recycle the board of last terms’ painting, (and try out some new palette knives), so under the influence of sleep deprivation, I went to the art department in the early hours of the morning to start mixing some paints.
I didn’t have any plans or ideas set out. Blasting music through headphones, using colours randomly selected from the bag,
